Check an amazing remix of Golden Filter for Pete Bjorn and John ´s Lay it Down. I love the original and love the remix as well. A slow paced track but its really powerfull chords make it a bomb, Not for bangin your feet and havin a barfight tho. The vocals are great too. A must (and i do mean it this time).

Tone Loc´s WILD THING! remixed by MOGUAI

In April of 1989 something happened. Something big. Was it Debbie Gibson's Electric Youth lighting up the lives of mallgoers across America? Or Madonna's Like A Prayer popularizing the plastic crucifix? Not if your definition of "big" includes doing the "Wild Thing" and sippin' some "Funky Cold Medina". Then the Billboard #1 album in question is Loc-ed After Dark by Tone Loc.

Loc-ed After Dark was a milestone in hip hop. With its immortal hit singles "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina" it catapulted authentic rap to the top of the pop charts. Deep-pocket album tracks like the outrageously pungent "Cheeba Cheeba" and the speaker-sweating "Cutting Rhythms" prompted Loc'ed After Dark to capture the flag of an east coast-centric genre and plant it firmly in Tone Loc's hometown. As Tone declaims on the title track: "Every time you hear my song your hands clap/ the chosen one putting L.A. on the map!"

The cheeba-chomping, gravel-gulleted, Rayban-rocking Los Angeles rapper soon appeared on the cover of Newsweek, performed privately by exclusive invitation for the Princess of Monaco, and had his "hasta la vista, baby" catchphrase jacked by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 2.

Loc-ed After Dark endures as the proving ground of some of hip hop history's most notable names, including Delicious Vinyl founders/producers Matt Dike & Michael Ross, engineer Mario Caldato Jr., and production duo The Dust Brothers. (Look up their substantial subsequent credits on-line now, chum.)

This digital-only deluxe release features six bonus tracks: "On Fire (OG 12" version)", "Cheeba Cheeba (OG 12" version)", "I Got It Goin' On (Remix)", "The Homies (On Tilt Mix)", "Wild Beat" and "Funky Beats". That's called value-for-money, homies!

The 20th Anniversary Deluxe Digital Edition of Loc-ed After Dark is the inaugural release in Delicious Vinyl's DV20 campaign. Throughout 2009, Delicious Vinyl will re-release classic LPs from the label's legendary catalog in bonus-packed digital download format. Stay tuned for DV20 versions of Young MC's Stone Cold Rhymin', Def Jef's Soul Food, Masta Ace Incorporated's SlaughtaHouse, The Brand New Heavies' Heavy Rhyme Experience Vol. 1, and more.

The 20th anniversary deluxe digital edition of Loc-ed After Dark is released January 27, 2009 on Delicious Vinyl.

Meet Lady Citizen ! ! !

Straight out of the Kyoto dance scene emerges the much sought after talents of lady Citizen, AKA Jun Fukanaga.

At the age of 18 Jun received an acid house compilation CD, inspiring a love for club techno and sparking a talent for DJing around his local scene in Kyoto, Japan.
After getting ahold of some music making gadgets, Jun produced a number of tracks under several different guises and collaborations before moving to Australia in 2005.

After getting invloved in the electro scene in Melbourne, Australia, Lady Citizen was born as Jun’s DJing prowess became ever more popular around the local club scene playing a variety of club styles from Funky house to UK breaks. With this mish-mash of different techno styles Lady Citizen started to produce a truly unique sound, gathering elements from all styles of dance music.

Gaining remix projects far and wide from both sides of the atlantic for producers and artists such as Kap10kurt. Lady Citizen has become hot property both as a producer and DJ.

KiD COLA Remixes Ladyhawke‏

After Radio 1 plays from Kissy Sell Out and Frankmusik labelling KiD his new favourite artist alongside an incredible amount of support from blogs, the latter part of 2008 was an incredible ride for KiD COLA.

On the back of this, 2009 sees KiD COLA starting afresh with a massive remix of Ladyhawke’s “Back Of The Van”, which utilises Pip Brown’s pop sensibilities and KiD’s knack for puling out great hooks, as well as massive house beats, wobbling synths and even some dubstep influence. One could be mistaken for thinking this was going to be a lighthearted indie re-edit, until a stab of low end leads into his trademark drum pattern and the bass slams in, leading to all kinds of dancefloor destruction and on to newer territories for this young producer who is refusing to duped into a pidgeon-hole.

Let's Talk about DIGIKID84‏

DIGIKID-84 is a French producers of 24 years coming from the Hip-Hop movement,
who donot delay discovering the art of Beat-Making and to influence it to turn in
tones more electro. At the end of the 2007 year, Billy bone's BPM accelerates and
a learned mix of pop, hip-hop, new wave influences is then born. Being for a long
time fan of the 80s and of all who cling to it, Billy draw their inspirations as well
from classical authors of this period The nostalgia for these apprentice is thus of
use to us a florilege of all the musics which rocked his ears, the whole sprinkled
with heavy and energetic drum kits to spice the whole!
Digikid is workin right now on his new Ep and Album "Diamon dust" but meanwhile
u can enjoy his new track Hey Boy Hey Girl! HAVE FUN!

ZZZ ´s LION ! thx to BANGGANG!

""ZZZ are Melbournian boyfriend and girlfriend production duo, Anees and Nana.
The Poshs and Becks of modern dance, the Peter and Jordan of noise, the Tom and Katie of fruity loops, the ultimate techno power-couple. They met on a singles techno forum, feel in love on facebbook and have spent the last 18month, making their own brand of rpmantic powerdance. Lion is their first born.

"Lion" is all about piano. Pianos pianos pianos and more pianos. So much piano, piano everywhere. Overload of pianos. surplus pianos. 2manypianos. Wow. Its starts with a piano solo that goes da daa daa ding ding ding daa daa daa then builds with epic staduim-rock synth solos, dramatic powerchords and maximum noise. Its a distorted Helfgot-house monster, heavy on the Vangelism, the "Chariots of Fire" of diminsioneer music. "

Proper loads of covers from Buffetlibre dj´s in their new project REWIND 2 covering a wide range of oldies and classics, from Tom Petty to the Pet Shop Boys every track is remixed by a unique artist imprinting their own style to these lovely tracks, enjoy!

"Hello ladies and gentlemen, girls and boys, and all other life forms. Welcome onboard this RWD2 flight to the sounds of yesteryear.
On behalf of Captain Marc and the crew of Buffetlibre, it is our pleasure to accompany you today on this journey in space and time which will rewind you back to the sounds of your past. The cabin crew is here to ensure you have an enjoyable flight to your chosen destination, but before taking off, please pay attention to the safety procedures: For your comfort and safety, we ask all passengers to remain in dance position at all times, in case of unexpected beats.
All portable electronic devices such as walkmans, ghetto-blasters, scientific calculators, Spectrum 48K and vibrators must be turned ON during take off and landing. Mobile telephones must not be used at any time- they didn’t exist in the eighties, remember? Passengers are reminded that this is a permissive flight, which means that smoking, alcoholic beverages, hyperglycemic candies, junk food and dressing to kill are permitted at all times anywhere in the aircraft (you may also download tracks at work, where the former may or may not be permitted- you choose). There are no seat-belts, no tables to be kept upright, no emergency exit and no oxygen masks.
To fly high all you need is your mind and soul. But remember: a bad trip in the past is a brain less in the future! We hope you have a pleasant flight back to your childhood sounds. So fasten your trainers, grab your favourite toy and a slush-puppie, and prepare for take-off. This is Rewind2."

Donovan are the relatively new French duo David Saïd and Nicolas Nekmouche and if this EP is anything to go by we reckon you'll going to be hearing a lot more of them… 'Breakin' is a bumpin slice of electro-fied hip house featuring the slick lyrical flow of G. Rizo and a superb surging b-line… feel-good party music for the winter months! As well as an instrumental mix of 'Breakin' we have two rather fine remixes for you as well… Charlie Fanclub fresh from his own Work It Baby EP injects some big room action with a penetrating synth-heavy throbber. quality as we've come to expect from Work It Baby!
