While some artists like to think they turn pieces of shit into aesthetic wonders British artists Tim Noble and Sue Webster can make such claims without the slightest hint of hyperbole.
Sure any art world dilettante can arrange the contents of their wheelie bin into a sculpture and call it contemporary art but few can evoke the emotion and beautiful juxtaposition of Noble and Webster's work. Their meticulously assembled mounds of trash, when illuminated from behind, cast shadows on the walls beyond depicting self-portraits and severed heads in silhouette. We never thought we'd say this but trash has never looked so beautiful.
