Bang Gang You!

Bang Gang 12 Inches delivers goodies this week for your listening pleasure with 3 fresh and new records. Bag Raiders with Turbo love , The Death Set remixes and Like Waoh! ´s Raw/War Ep. The Death Set is one of my favourites of the three, considering the original indie style tracks and also the great mixes , specially The GLOVES one. LOVIN IT.

One of the most hyped artists in the scene right now with a new 3 track record promising a new round of hits and remixes in the future!

"So here you go, here it is the new Like Woah! toons, in their purest forms of beautiful noise, rap free, like a drunk virgin on their high school format, horny sexy but yet still untouched"

SIDE A
A1. DISCOMBOBULATOR
(320k Glory on mediafire)

SIDE B
B1. GIRLS SING
B2. O.S.O.F

http://www.myspace.com/bagraiders

Track one, Turbo Love, is a striaght up bag raiders cant get off the dance floor party action blah blah blah full of some balls chopped-off high pitched super vocoding and a lead to make you play air keytar to. Track two is thicker and faster version of the first track, that makes you feel as though you were at a slamball convention without your knoww pads and mouthgard...
"Shooting Stars" features the first real life vocal (meaning not a robot voice) for the bag raiders, and who else to feature than our very own rhys from Like Woah! The kid has soul, not marvin gaye soul, but enough soul to get some plays on pete tong if he is feeling moody.

Track 4 is the dub of Shooting Stars and it is awesome, I love the vocal, but i really love a dub, i even just love the word dub. Not for the dinner table but for me thats enough, I mean Who wants to listen to the dub version at a dinner table, unless your listening to dub as in ragga, as in bob motherfuckin marly (sorry couldnt help it)

SIDE A
A1. TURBO LOVE
(320k glory on Mediafire)

A2. TURBO LOVE
(Tough Love Edition)

SIDE B
B1. SHOOTING STARS
B2. SHOOTING STARS
(Instrumental)

"Deathset are originaly from the gold coast, lived in sydney for a while then moved to brooklyn and now live in baltimore, They used to be a two piece but lost a member and picked up 2 new members so are the three piece, they play really fun fast sets and jump around a lot and sometimes break shit and ocassionaly bleed, jonny the singer has real high pitch voice too and used to sleep under a bench in the worst house i had ever seen, They are super dope"

Well my favourite I repeat myself, but this is a must for u electro yunkies, the indie side of the record which are obviously the original tracks are great specially the one I share below, and the GLOVES remix of "Listen to this COllision" is the purest definition of new rave. So when u tell a friend "we went to a new rave party last night" I hope u heard this track or u wont be meanin it 100%.

Tame Impala New Video

One of the bands im lovin with all my hearth right now, I was bored about rock but this has changed that in the past week. Effective on a 45 year old biker and also on a ravin "glowstick in hand" kid. Must really check it out! oh btw. Modular is releasing it so expect great mixes soon.

Tame Impala - Half Full Glass Of Wine from Modular People on Vimeo.

Half Full Glass Of Wine comes accompanied by a video directed by Special Problems (Cut Off Your Hands, Mercy Arms) who have created the perfect trippy realm for you to get lost in. Solid Gold delivers a new track!

Get Over It is the debut UK single release from Solid Gold, a Minneapolis 3-piece who brew up a potent heady mixture of memorable pop hooks, warm synths and dreamy lysergic vocals powered along with a precise & liquid funk. Get Over It is the lead track from Bodies of Water, their debut album recorded over the last 12 months in locations as diverse as abandoned farmhouses, city basements and a cabin on a frozen lake.

They won the 'Lets Get Physical ' contest thrown by WeSC and Vice magazine last year, resulting in them being flown to London to headline the WeSC/Vice event at The Old Blue Last. From there they flew on to Iceland to headline the opening night of last years Airwaves Festival. After turning heads at SXSW earlier this year, they were hand picked to support the Ting Tings in their home town of Minneapolis.

Get Over It will be released as a limited edition 7" in late November, individually numbered; featuring unique sleeves hand-painted by the band, available through all cool indie stores. The band are currently arranging uk dates for early 09. The album will be released shortly after.

Plus Move´s new EP!

Boston before they learned the art of time travel. Both he and Shifrin were playing in rock bands, with their only common thread was a shared interest in Radiohead. “I was actually into producing hip-hop beats when we first met, and I threw Daft Punk in the same category as the bland, repetitive, four-on-the-floor stuff that I couldn’t get into. But once I understood the energy behind it, I started listening to all the other French producers.”

Plus Move got everyone’s attention when they leaked their bootleg remix of Justice’s funk-squelch anthem “D.A.N.C.E” to some of their favorite music blogs back in the summer of 2007. “We first heard the song as a radio rip,” Shifrin recalls. “It wasn’t even the full song or the final version, but we fell in love with it and immediately chopped the shit out of the track to get rid of the radio noise, re-worked it completely and sent it back out to every blog that we liked. Before we knew it, we were getting emails from people all over the world.”

One of those emails got their attention more than the other messages from crazed fans. It was an anonymous invitation to a meeting in a basement underneath M.I.T., just minutes from the Plus Move studio. Shifrin and Mihailoff are reluctant to reveal specifics, but the story goes that they were introduced to someone they refer to cryptically as “Sphinx.” When asked if “Sphinx” is the mythical being described in Egyptian and Greek mythology, Plus Move boldly puts forth that Sphinx “has taken many different forms throughout time.”

The next part of the story may be even less credible, yet the recordings that make up the “2099” EP are presented for your consideration. Plus Move claim to have traveled through time with Sphinx to the year 2099, where together they defeated the evil ruler BOSS. In the ensuing days spent in 2099, Plus Move and Sphinx recorded these songs and brought them back to the present day as documented proof of their travels.

The cool heads at Expansion Team Records, for whom the duo had previously remixed a Ready Fire Aim track, immediately took notice of the change in Shifrin and Mihailoff’s disposition. The “2099” recordings shifted and morphed with more unpredictable dynamics than a multi-car pileup, equal parts apocalypse and apotheosis in the mix. Label boss and fellow futurist Alex Moulton lent his ear to the music, helping co-produce the songs to make them understandable to early-21st century ears.

Plus Move recently relocated to Austin, Texas, a move necessitated by the need for physical space to assemble their next secret project. The duo are reportedly building a structure they believe is a time machine that allows for hundreds (if not thousands) of fans to join them on their subsequent journeys to the future. How’s that for DIY?

Check out one of the three tracks in the EP, "Boss" and start jumpin and dancin. A great track stating the great quality of this new release. Justice, Mstrkft, daft punk fans will love this one.

LA RE$#%T@≈3 !!!! - STICK IT TO THE MAN

RESIST!
